Felix is eagerly counting down the days until he starts prep at Sunbury Heights Primary School.
The six-year-old will be among many preps starting their first year of school in Sunbury and the Macedon Ranges from this week.
Mum Brooke Nickel said Felix was her third and youngest child embarking on this new journey.
“His big sister Astrid is in grade 6 and his older brother Dylan is in grade 4,“ she said.
“I think it does make it a little bit easier having kids at the school because I have got to know the school community and I know what I am getting in to.“
Brooke said her son was “super excited“ to get into his classroom and be at the same school as his older siblings.
“He’s been ready to go for a year, he is full of excitement and enthusiasm,“ she said.
“He’s already tried on his uniform once or twice and he is looking forward to being with his brother and sister. His best friend is also going to Sunbury Heights Primary School.
“It’s a big year and we are very excited.“
