Zac Green is tapping into his creative side while raising money for bushfire victims.
The Sunbury boy has spent his school holidays since December designing, creating and selling his very own placemats and door signs.
Zac’s mum Danni Green said all money raised from the sales of his placements went towards bushfire victims.
“When the bushfires started, we discussed as a family that’s how he would donate and it was his way of helping out,” Ms Green said.
“It was his project over the school holidays.”
Zac, 11, sold his creations for between $1-$3.50 and has raised more than $100. He used his dad’s Facebook page to spread the word about his project.
“He got a lot of orders,” Ms Green said. “He got a bit overwhelmed but he has almost completed all the orders.
“He’s really creative. He’s always liked graffiti and drawing.”
The placemats and door signs have even made a special delivery overseas. “Lots of people supported him,” Ms Green said.
“Lots of people are blown away by his generosity and were happy to support someone with a kind heart.
“People from his dad’s work have donated, people from Sunbury, also his family in Echuca and his aunty in Wales have donated.
“We’re very proud.”
