Wine and art are the perfect pairing at Hanging Rock Winery’s newest exhibition.
About 15 sculptures have been installed throughout the winery’s grounds in preparation for this weekend’s opening of the Art in the Vines – Sculpture in Motion exhibition.
Winery manager direct to consumer Shane Caruana said this year’s exhibition follows on from last year’s
Art in the Vines – Sculpture Exhibition and Trail at the winery.
“Our exhibition curator Malcolm Thomson has again secured an enviable line-up of artists to feature,” he said.
“[It] will follow the same format as last year’s inaugural event, but this year’s focus is on kinetic sculpture – sculpture that relies on motion for its effect.”
Winery managing director John Ellis said the exhibition would not disappoint.
“The setting is outstanding, as is the calibre of artists,” he said
A series of complimentary events, including a long lunch, will be a part of the exhibition’s program.
The exhibition will be launched on Saturday, October 26 at Hanging Rock Winery, 88 Jim Road, Newham.
It closes on Sunday, February 23. Entry to the exhibition is free.
