What’s old will become new again at the upcoming Kyneton Vintage and Arts Festival.
Now in its 23rd year, the three-day festival will take over the Kyneton Town Hall at the end of the month.
The festival is the major fundraiser for the Friends of the Kyneton Museum.
Event co-organiser Hanne Juul said there will be something on offer for everyone during the festival.
“It’s always Kyneton’s biggest recycling event,” she said.
“We will have lots of beautiful items like jewellery, there is a girl who will be doing haberdashery, and there’s a fellow from Lancefield who will be selling some beautiful furniture.
“We have a lady who will be making beautiful native animals and birds out of pure wool felt – it’s all handcrafted.”
A light lunch of baked goods and homemade soups from the Rotary Club of Kyneton Country Kitchen will be provided on the Saturday and Sunday.
All funds raised from the event will go towards conserving the collection and developing new projects at the Kyneton Museum.
The festival’s opening night is on Friday, August 30 from 5-7.30pm. The festival will continue on August 31, from 10am-5pm and September 1, 10am-4pm.
Admission is $7 for adults and children accompanied by an adult are free.
