Timeless appeal: 2 Ida Crescent, Romsey, 3434

If sitting on a wonderfully deep and wide back verandah, with a morning cuppa or evening wine in hand, while you soak up gorgeous garden vistas sounds oh-so dreamy, this is the place for you. Mind you, indoors is very nice as well.

The house has a timelessness about it, a relatable elegance that doesn’t mess with trends and will appeal to all kinds of buyers. And the 2015-square-metre block, with wide horseshoe driveway out front, has those gardens but also the potential to add your own bits, such as another shed/man cave, a unit or even a pool.

There are three spacious, grey-carpeted bedrooms, the main with walk-through robes and a sparkling en suite with a long vanity bench and soft-grey floor tiles. The matching main bathroom has a modern vanity unit with cane-basket storage.

Attractive floating floorboards anchor the living spaces, one a lounge room with wood heater (ducted to several areas) and french doors to the verandah. The other – with more french doors – is the dining area, with kitchen in between the two. Big windows are dressed in charming floral drapes reminiscent of Laura Ashley, while wall paint is sandstone – as it is all through.

The kitchen, with a wide servery to the lounge room, has loads of white cabinetry, a corner pantry cupboard, a brekkie bench for four and a 900mm cooktop and a wall oven. Up one end, glass bricks set in a staggered pattern are a striking feature.

Amid the lovely plantings, a paved sitting area down back is in dappled shade and there’s lawn for kids and pets.

Other notable features include evaporative cooling, a big garden shed, water tank with pump and a garage/shed with concrete floor, power connection and workshop area.
