Seven CFA brigades across the Macedon Ranges are set to upgrade their equipment and facilities after sharing in more than $150,000 in state government funding.
The brigades at Gisborne, Kyneton, Malmsbury, Mount Macedon, Pastoria, Riddells Creek and Tylden received the funding last week, as part of the government’s Enhancing Volunteerism Grants Program.
The Kyneton Group of Brigades will also receive $31,000 as part of the grants program.
Macedon MP Mary-Anne Thomas said the grants aimed to support brigades to strengthen volunteerism.
“It’s very exciting to see so many of our CFA brigades and groups benefit from these fantastic grants,” she said.
“Our local CFA volunteers do a tremendous job keeping us safe and these grants will allow them to continue to provide this vital service.”
