Sunbury’s Henry twins take live theatre for a spin

Sunbury’s Henry twins seem destined to have their names up in lights.

Aspiring actors Isobel and Eloise, aged eight, got their first break when they were just nine months old, appearing as baby Stella in Channel Ten drama Offspring for two seasons.

They went on to star in Underbelly and reached the semi-finals of Australia’s Got Talent.

The girls have also appeared in several short films, and most recently, a feature film called Just Between Us.

The film, which premiered in Melbourne and Adelaide last month, is currently showing at Carlton’s Cinema Nova.

Isobel and Eloise will turn their attention to live theatre when they tread the boards at Rippon Lea from July 5 in Festen, which is described as a dark thriller.

Mum Jodie said the sisters were excited about the transition to the stage.

“They have been training in acting for three years so it was a very good progression to do something live,” she said.

Ms Henry said Isobel and Eloise had been training at Sunbury’s FlashDance Performing Arts since they were two. They train six days a week, taking classes in acting, singing, dancing and musical theatre.

“This is what they want to do,” Ms Henry said.

“They struggle in the school holidays when their classes aren’t on.”

Festen will be at Rippon Lea from July 5 until July 22.
