Catch Jimeoin in The Ridiculous

Comedy legend Jimeoin will visit Kyneton on Sunday, June 17 to perform his new show The Ridiculous. Jimeoin’s unique take on the world and observational humour has cemented him as one of the world’s best stand-up comedians. Show starts 8pm. Tickets: $49.90 adults, $44.90 concession and groups of six or more.

Meet your councillors

Macedon Ranges council invites residents to drop by and discuss local issues with their councillors in Bullengarook on Wednesday, June 20. The session will be held at Bullengarook Hall, 683 Bacchus Marsh Road, from 5-6pm.

Dance dinner

Sunbury School of Calisthenics is celebrating its 35th birthday on Saturday, June 30 at Russo Estate, 760-818 Holden Road, Diggers Rest. The not-for-profit dance club is hosting a three-course dinner from 6.30pm, featuring live music. Dinner costs $60 and drinks will be at bar prices.

Free small business bus

Free mentoring from an experienced business professional will be offered out of the Small Business Bus at Woodend Visitor Information Centre, High Street, Woodend, on Tuesday, June 19 from 10am-4pm. Information on Small Business Victoria’s programs and services, as well as tools and tips to help you start or grow your business, will be available.

 

Kinder tours

Tours of Macedon Ranges council’s kindergartens are running throughout the next two months. First round registrations for next year close on June 30.

Art show

The Woodend Art Group will be hosting an exhibition at the Woodend Railway Station building from Friday, June 9, to Monday, June 11 from 10am-4pm each day. Local artists will demonstrate their skills for visitors each day of the exhibition. Entry by gold coin donation.

New talent wanted

Registrations are being taken until June 15 for the 2018-19 Macedon Ranges Art Trail.

Visual artists from hobbyists to accomplished professionals are welcome to join the independent non-profit program, which promotes the local artistic community all year round. MRAT was formed in 2012 and also benefits art groups, galleries and businesses supporting the arts with an annual brochure, online exposure and exhibitions.
