Sunbury College Film Festival to hit the big screen

The work of Sunbury’s up-and-coming producers and directors will hit the screen at Readings Cinemas next week.

Sunbury College’s third annual film festival on June 5, will be hosted by year 12 students Foley and Brittany (pictured).

The secondary school invited pupils from local primary schools to submit their short films for judgment, along with those of its own students. The shortlisted finalists will have their works shown on the big screen.

Entries were required to be entirely student-made, no longer than five minutes in length and to contain the token prop – a paper plane.

Awards will be given for best film, best technical skills, best story and audience favourite for both the primary and secondary school divisions.

The night will also feature live performances from Sunbury College’s Rockband.

Tickets cost $5 for adults and $3 for children and are available on Eventbrite.
