Men flee Sunbury car crash

Police are calling for information after two men tried to flee a car crash in Sunbury yesterday.

A silver Commodore was allegedly driving at a high speed when it crashed into a tree on Elizabeth Drive about 3pm on Monday.

An injured male occupant attempted to leave the incident but was arrested a short distance away.

The second male occupant managed to flee the scene but was arrested shortly after at a Sunbury property.

Both men were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police are looking to speak to anyone who saw the silver Commodore sedan in Sunbury at the time.

Investigators are also appealing for any dashcam footage or CCTV in the area bounded by Elizabeth Drive, Gap Road, Riddell Road and Phillip Drive in Sunbury.
