Stolen puppy returned to Sunbury owner

A Sunbury woman has been reunited with her puppy after it was stolen when her home was burgled last week.

Police have also recovered electronic items and power tools taken in the robbery, and have arrested three men in relation to the crimes.

The Sunbury resident returned home to catch offenders leaving her Station Street house in her red Commodore sedan about 2.40pm last Wednesday.

The robbers allegedly rammed the vehicle the homeowner was driving as they tried to get away.

A 31-year-old Maidstone man was arrested later that day and was charged with a number of offences. He has been remanded to appear at Broadmeadows Magistrates Court on December 7.

A 24-year-old man from Sunbury was arrested on Friday. He has been released pending further enquiries.

Yesterday a 45-year-old Sydenham man was arrested after police searched his home. He has been charged with a number of offences and released on bail to attend the Sunshine Magistrates’ Court on February 16.

Police have located all the stolen items except for the car.

Ada the Staffy was returned to the Sunbury owner yesterday.
