By Jinkers, it’s good: 22 Jinker Way, Romsey, 3434

What’s clearly a much-loved family home is now ready for its next chapter – and it’s looking mighty fine for the purpose. Beautifully presented, with fresh pearl-grey wall paint and elegantly dressed windows, its era pointers of an archway, multi-paned windows and exposed bricks provide warmth and individuality.

Entry is to a tiled foyer where, immediately ahead, a door – to the living hub – has an owner-created leadlight panel sporting kookaburra and parrot.

On the right is the main bedroom, which has a bank of windows admitting streams of light. Walk-through twin wardrobes and a revamped en suite with ivory floor tiles and a raised square basin atop a long vanity, plus a walk-in shower are other features.

On the left of the foyer (through the arch) is a step-down lounge-dining room with a fireplace set into the aforementioned exposed brick wall.

This room links with a skylit family-meals area warmed by wood heater and cooled by ceiling fan and air-conditioner.

The galley kitchen has white cupboards, latte-toned textured laminate benches, four-door pantry, dual wall ovens and electric cooktop. The remaining two bedrooms, off the living hub, have mirrored robes.

They neighbour the large main bathroom in ivory and cream, a two-way toilet and a good-sized laundry with closets.

The meals area opens to a small elevated deck with five steps down to an enclosed pergola with barbecue and ceiling fan.

This is a nicely sheltered spot and big enough to host an extended family gathering with ease.

The spacious backyard – on a block of about 1800 square metres – has mature trees and shrubs, potential for a chook house, a free-standing pergola, a netted vegetable garden, a wood shelter and a garden shed.

A timber arched bridge next to a pond defines a pretty sitting spot and towering conifers line back and side fences.

The property has gas ducted heating, multiple ceiling fans and ducted vacuum.

There’s an integrated double carport with extra height and back gate allowing caravan access to the backyard.
