Macedon Ranges potters’ exhibition

Jan Maxwell is one of 11 Macedon Ranges potters busy at their kilns in preparation for this weekend’s annual exhibition.

The potters’ ceramic work will be on display at Woodend Community Hub as part of the Woodend Winter Arts Festival.

The varied group of artists have been meeting monthly and exhibiting together annually for more than 30 years.

“It’s the group’s only exhibition for the year,” said Ms Maxwell. “We’re always thrilled to see what everyone else has produced.”

She expects to have about 40 pieces of work in the exhibition. The free exhibition will be open each day of the Queen’s Birthday weekend from 10am-4pm.

Visitors have the opportunity to meet the artists between 2-4pm on Saturday, June 10.
