Animal lovers find perfect match

Pet lovers may find their perfect match at an upcoming Valentine’s Day event at Sunbury.

Petbarn Sunbury and RSPCA Victoria will host a Pet Dating event on February 11, at which animal lovers can meet loveable pets in need of new homes.

Assistant manager Meaghan Lightfoot says the aim of the event is to match displaced pets with Sunbury and Macedon Ranges people looking for unconditional love.

“At Petbarn, we are passionate about pet adoption and feel that every pet deserves a loving home,” Ms Lightfoot said. “We are grateful that we can hold events like these, which gives needy animals a chance to find a forever home, as well as enriching the lives of prospective pet parents.

“We know that having a pet in your life means you are more likely to have a healthier heart, be less stressed, be happier … and by opening your heart to a furry friend, it will allow you to be a better you.”

Residents can meet up with potential pets and, if they are lucky enough to find their perfect partner, they will be able to go through the pet adoption process instore on the day.

Petbarn Sunbury’s 14 February pet adoption day is from 11am to 3pm.
