GOLF

It was a big weekend for Romsey Golf Club with its annual sponsor’s day on Sunday. Playing a 12-hole, three-player Ambrose competition, players were greeted by cloudy skies and a north-westerly wind. On Saturday, Daniel Wright took out the club’s Stableford competition from Andrew Evans. In a good sign for the club, four junior golfers took to the course for the first time in many years.
